Applications
Pipe freezing is a proven method of providing a temporary, positive isolation within a pipework system.
This enables repairs and modifications to be carried out, where conventional isolations do not exist or would otherwise be impractical
This cost effective method is widely used on a range of pipe materials such as Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel and Glass Fibre Reinforced Pipe. Typical applications include Fire water ring mains, service water, pipework, pipeline risers and wellheads.

Benefits
Pipe freezing allows remedial work to be carried out on live systems, reducing the need for system shutdown. There are also time and cost savings associated with the reduction draining, flushing and refilling activities.
Repairs can be carried out on fire water ring main systems without the loss of fire coverage.
Experience
Temporary freeze isolations have been completed on pipes ranging from 1/2” to 48” diameter.
Typical pipe contents suitable for freezing include water and oil based fluids, chemicals and gels.
