Following mechanical completion of any new build process facility, a range of pre-commissioning activities can be performed by PSL including:

Traditional contracting strategies tend to contract the scopes independently, with various specialist contractors and agency personnel used throughout the project.

Consequently, much time and effort is consumed in sub-contractor administration, supervision and induction to ensure each project element is accounted for.

Using PSL to co-ordinate and / or perform all the pre-commissioning activities will eliminate many of these interfaces which arise principally through duplication of activity, equipment supply and increased headcount.
